Promotion Foundation

The Department of Informatics is supported in its activities by the Promotion Foundation, in turn supported by representatives of local and national enterprises and organisations. This foundation contributes by reinforcing the links between the department and economic circles and supports the launching of new projects. Each year, the Foundation also awards two prizes rewarding the best Master and doctoral theses related to informatics at the University of Fribourg.

Hasler Foundation

The Hasler Foundation commits itself to research and training in the field of telecommunications and systems of distribution of information. With these activities, the Foundation helps to ensure that, in the future, Switzerland will be able to benefit from high quality know-how in the field of informatics.
