Collaboration within the University of Fribourg

  •  NTE Centre

    The NTE (New Technologies in Education) is located in the building Pérolles 2 and is closely related to the Department of Informatics (DIUF). The scientific workers at the centre are established teachers and informatics experts who are interested in the development and evaluation of new forms of teaching based on the most recent information technology (Internet, multimedia, virtual classrooms, etc.).

  •  International Institute of Management in Technology (iimt)

    The commitment of the International Institute of Management in Technology is to prepare participants for high-level management careers and conduct research in ICT-Management

External collaboration

  • College of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg (EIA-FR)

    The role of the College of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg (EIA-FR/HTA-FR) is the training of engineers and architects HES/FH (Haute Ecole Spécialisée/Fachhochschule), to encourage the transfer of knowledge and technologies to economic circles and to promote both continuous and postgraduate training.

Networked scientific activities

  •  BeNeFri

    BENEFRI is a collaborative network between the Universities of Berne, Neuchâtel and Fribourg. The main aim is to coordinate teaching between the three universities.

  • CUSO (3ème cycle) University Conference of Western Switzerland)

    Each year since 1974, the 3ème cycle de la Suisse romande in Informatics organises numerous events during which exchange of ideas and interactions between research workers are made possible.

  • Swiss Association for Research in Information Technology (SARIT)

    The Swiss Association for Research in Information Technology (SARIT) has the aim of improving the quality of research in informatics in Switzerland and to enable Swiss scientists to access to the latest international research activities in the European Community (EU) and the United States.

  • European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM)

    ERCIM, the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics, aims to foster collaborative work within the European research community and to increase co-operation with European industry. Leading research institutes from nineteen European countries are members of ERCIM.
