The HCI group of the department of Informatics emerged from the research activities of the DIVA and PAI groups. The objectives of the HCI group are:

• To design and implement novel interaction paradigms and technologies, focusing on multimodal and gestural interaction, information visualization and interaction in and with pervasive systems.
• To develop and run hybrid user-centered methods to evaluate multimodal systems, information visualization techniques and pervasive systems.
